It’s about that time again, and I don’t mean Christmas (yet) I am talking about conference time! It has been a while since my last SES, but I am looking forward to speaking on two panels this year at SES Chicago 2009. Here are the details of the sessions:
First Session 10:30AM Monday Dec. 7
Mixed Media SERPs
Search result multiplicity is not a new phenomenon, but recent advancements guarantee that the world of search and marketing will be changing forever. How do the new “blended” search results pages affect your marketing strategy? Do these changes mean that the major search engines are eager to keep the “second click” on web properties owned by themselves? How popular are the new blended search results with users?
- Moderator:
Andrew Goodman, SES Advisory Board & Principal, Page Zero Media
Speakers:
Larry Cornett, VP, Consumer Products, Yahoo! Search
Mat Siltala, Founder, Dream Systems Media
David Naylor, SEO, Bronco
Mark Knowles, President & CEO, Pixelsilk, Inc.
Second Session 1:45 PM Monday Dec. 7
Images & Optimization
It’s been said that a picture can be worth a thousand clicks. If your website has a lot of product images or contains many images as part of the design, you can’t afford to miss this session. Join us as we explore enhanced image search along with image links, geo-tags, accessibility issues, alt attributes, surrounding text, filtering concerns, file sizes, image-specific search engines and a host of other important considerations for capturing targeted traffic.
- Moderator:
Joshua Palau, VP, Search, Razorfish
Speaker:
Liana Evans, Director of Social Media, Serengeti Communications
Grant Crowell, Senior Media Analyst, ReelSEO.com
Mat Siltala, Founder, Dream Systems Media
As always, please make sure and come up and say hi (we can Dailybooth it up together), and if you are able to make it any of my two sessions that would be awesome too! See you in Chicago!
Trying to get over for SES as a last minute job.
Mixed Media SERPs, excellent. Really looking forward to the session. You’re in good company anyway with Dave and Larry.

@Dave Davis
Thanks Dave, I am looking forward to meeting them all!!
Very neat! unfortunately I am not making it to this one. We finally are able to set aside a budget for events such as this, so I am sure I will be visiting them in the near future, I can’t wait to meet the faces of the search marketing industry.
Two important sessions that can help people who engaged themselves in business. I’m looking forward to more activities this 2010.
